How to Commission the ArtistIts easier than you might think!
Most commissions are motoring based and will recall a favourite car or bike, or favourite motoring adventure or fantasy.
All I need is a photo of the car, bike or subject,
and a suggestion of the background you'd like,
or an idea of how you might like your
finished painting to look.
( or you can of course leave this bit to me ! )
.
I ask for a small 10% deposit, with your order.
I will give you an idea of the time scale
as there is a waiting list for my paintings
I will call you when your painting is finished
to ask for full payment.
.
I then send your painting to you
..
If you are not completely satisfied I will
give you a refund
.
"I am proud to say that in over 25 years of business
I have never had to do this"
I've included some Testimonials at the bottom of this page
Also a chance to "look over my shoulder", and get an insight
into the process of commissioning a painting from start to finish

Price Variations :
There are no hidden extras .
My prices include a Frame and P&P in UK mainland
(Postage to other Countries will cost extra)
The only time the price may differ from the above is;-
When more Cars, the House, Spouse, Children, pets etc. are wanted too!
It has been expected of me in the past to include all of these things
and more for the initial price of the painting. I am happy to include
most things in a painting but obviously at a cost.
When there is to be more than one prominent subject in the painting ;-
there is an additional charge of 25%(approx) for one more subject,
.
e.g.. An Extra Vehicle
Specific Building
Specific Person
Specific Animal
Etc.
This would take the price of a 12" x 16" painting at the initial price of £285
to a total of £350
----------------------------------------
And so there is an addition charge of 50%(approx) for two more subjects,
.
e.g.. Extra Vehicle and House
House and Person
House and Animal
Etc.
This would take the price of a 12" x 16" painting at the initial price of £285
to a total of £425
-----------------------------------------
Furthermore if three extra subjects are required we would be talking
an extra 75% on top of the initial price and so on and so forth.
If all the talk of percentages and extra costs has completely blown your mind
and left you confused , call me...
Please feel free to contact me with your ideas, we can chat about them,
and I can confirm a definite quote with no obligation to go any further.

"I contacted Ian regarding a painting I wanted for my fiance's 30th Birthday. I was so pleased when Ian said he could do it in time. Robb was so suprised and gobsmacked at how good the painting was. I will be in his good books for a very long time and it's all down to the wonderful work of Ian. We love all your paintings and are trying to find space in our house to buy some prints. Many Thanks x"

"Just felt I had to say a public thankyou, for the wonderful painting you did for me for my husbands Christmas present. From seeing your work we knew you were good, but Oh My God the painting was outstanding words cannot do it justice. I knew Rob would love it but when he opened it you saw the tears of joy, disbelief down his face and the painting was the topic of conversation all christmas. Thank you for making his Christmas special"
Kim Turrington
"I think your artwork is some of the best I have ever seen. You have a combination of talents and styles that exceed Big Daddy Roth, Vargas and Rockwell, titalating a great variety of taste and cultural levels"
Pop Young
"We recently commissioned a painting from Ian of our 65 chevy impala estate pulling an airstream caravan for our wedding aniversary and would like to say how pleased we are with the picture. It is so evocative and don't we wish we were on the highway"
Denise & Chris Pearce
"Good work Ian!
I could feel the rush of speed the engines vibes and felt in touch with distant time. Your work lives and breaths motion. Your style brigdes today with yesterday.
Enjoyed the stroll down memory lane."
Mark Askew

Amanda Brooks

The portrait was amazing better than the photo, thanks Ian so very much.."

This GUY knows how to look after his customers.
